Letters to the Editor: Climate change isn’t your fault. Here’s what to blame and how to fix it.
I believe that most of the fault lies with governments. However, the world population is the problem, not the solution.
If we cut planet earth’s population by half immediately at birth, we could save enough energy for all the world’s transportation and energy needs.
We also might solve the climate change problem.
If the population drops by just half, we would save enough energy to supply all our energy needs for 100 years.
With that kind of energy source and the right technology, there’s no reason the Earth couldn’t be livable for another 100 years, if not more.
I grew up in the 1940s and ’50s. We were always told we were living in a dangerous age, but that “only” the rich were threatened by it. That didn’t include us, which is why I am optimistic the climate will change for the better.
It’s time we stop fearing change and start embracing it.
